People often ask us, “what’s the difference between AgroNosotros and other companies offering agricultural investments?”
For me, the main difference is that we are Owners and Operators of the farms, facilities and businesses that our clients invest in. Like in our latest Offering, Peini Cacao Plantation, LLC.
We are not simply a marketing team and you are dealing directly with the principals, not a “sales guy”!
We believe that the single most critical component behind every Opportunity and every Investment is the Team that will make it happen.
Anyone can create a fancy website or glossy marketing brochure. Have you ever seen a “bad” proforma projection when presented with an opportunity? Unlikely!
All of the above is the easy part.
Delivery is the hard part and that is where our Team comes in.
We have slowly and steadily built our Team in a sustainable fashion, over the last 6 ½ years.
It made no sense to put a full corporate structure in place in the early years, so we focused on building from the ground up, literally, by building our farming team first, and then adding administration and operations staffing over time, as we grew and expanded farm operations.
We outsourced much of our expertise initially, before bringing those positions in-house, when the timing was right.
Through all of our growth, we’ve always ensured business continuity and that there is no “single point of failure”, and that everyone trains those around them.
We cross-train where possible across our companies, to encourage the development of an entrepreneurial mindset and to expose our Team to international standards and working in different environments.
We are very proud of the hard-working, multi-national and multi-lingual Team we have developed, and we are happy to introduce them to you here.
Over the last 2 years we have been in a position to put a corporate structure in place.
This is a critical milestone for the stability of the company, for our Team and for our Investors.
With a proper structure in place, the company can always survive if any one senior executive leaves the company. Again, no single point of failure.
Business Management Committee
In early 2020 we established a Business Management Committee, made up of 8 management and senior executives, to assist us in managing the day-to-day running of each department.
Andres Lopez, VP of Agriculture, Daniele Levorato, Chief Operating Officer, Priscilla Clare Nash, VP of Operations, Lourdes Lezcano, VP of Finance, Armando Choco, Executive Chocolate Maker, Hector Rodriguez, Director of IT/Systems and Jake Smith, our Financial Analyst.
With all of their many years of experience combined in coffee, chocolate, farming, operations, finance, business management and more, we have assembled a Team that can help us to overcome any challenges that come our way.
