Last Chance To Own Specialty Coffee And Cacao Farmland

June 2024 will mark our 10-year anniversary!

Ten years since we decided to raise investor capital to acquire underperforming coffee farms and turn them into high-end specialty coffee farms.

We had a BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) of reaching 150 hectares of coffee farmland in our portfolio, which we reached in year 9. A total of 155 hectares (380 acres) to be exact.

In 2016 we diversified into cacao farmland and now own 192 hectares (480 acres). Giving us a grand total of 347 hectares (867 acres) under management.

After 10 years of carefully identifying farms to be added slowly over time as we had the bandwidth to absorb the additional land, we have finally reached our optimal land mass.

So, we have come to a decision and for the 1st time in 10 years, we will no longer be acquiring new coffee or cacao farms.

It feels strange to write these words as until now we have always been looking for new farms and told investors there would always be opportunities to participate in future farms.

That is no longer the case.

Once we close out the 2 current coffee and cacao farm opportunities, our time, energy and focus will be 100% spent on the next growth phase of our business. Developing the brands and the channels to market for those brands and products.

There may be future downstream investment opportunities, but for now, no more coffee or cacao farms will be acquired.

To wrap up and close out our farmland investment opportunities, we have 2 exciting, and final syndications to be completed this year, both of which are in process and progressing well.

  • Nube Coffee Estate, a 22.6-hectare (56 acres) coffee farm we acquired in Boquete, with 10,500 trees already planted and plans in place to plant another 50,000 this coming planting season.
  • Cacao Rambala, a 61.5-hectare (153 acres) cacao farm in Rambala, Panama that we recently acquired and will begin planting with 75,000 saplings this month. It's the 2nd phase of a larger 123-hectare (307 acres) farm, with phase one already fully funded, fully planted and developing well.

Both projects are underway and have about 1 year of progress already made.

You can get an overview of both projects by downloading the Executive Summaries below.

If they feel like a good fit for you and your portfolio, schedule a brief call with us here, and then we can send you the complete set of private placement documentation, including a 20+ year financial proforma.

We look forward to having you participate in our final coffee and cacao farm acquisitions.
